WCC Elementary Report Card Update Parents of WCC Elementary Students, We are making a change to what is considered a 4 on our grading scale. This aligns more closely to our state ATLAS Assessment reporting categories. 1 - Not at Standard (Unable to perform Grade Level Standard) 2 - Approaching (Can perform Grade Level Standard with assistance) 3 - Meets (Mastered Grade-Level Standard) 4 - Exceeding (Advanced understanding of Grade-Level standard) Scores for each quarter should be based on the expectations of that quarter. Some skills are not covered until 2nd, 3rd, or 4th quarter. Students performing well should score a 3 or 4 all throughout the year. It is possible for a student's score to drop as the expectations for full mastery of standards increase, especially toward the end of the year. **Progress Reports Go Home November 22**

Special guests, Wendy Pettz and Ms. Doris Eoff of the Arkansas Cattlewomen’s Association, Fayetteville, gave presentations on the benefits of beef in Mrs. Seward’s FACS, Food Safety & Nutrition, and Life and Fitness Nutrition classes. Ms. Wendy demonstrated grilling steaks along with the different cuts and grades of steaks. Students enjoyed tasting select, choice, and prime steaks in each of the food classes. She also gave a presentation to the Child Growth and Development class on Nutrition during Prenatal development and infancy. What a great experience! We are thankful!
