There has been information sent out in an email about cheer tryouts to those interested in cheer (7th-12th grade). Please have your student check their email. If any WCC student wants to tryout for cheer but did not receive the tryout material or the email, please message or email me by this Friday (5/29). This email contains the dates along with the required AAA restrictions. Thank you! Coach Fisher sfisher@wccsd.k12.ar.us

WCC family! We hope that you are doing well during this pandemic. We are still awaiting guidelines from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education regarding what the fall of next year will look like. We have seen some of the things circulating on Facebook regarding CDC guidelines but we want to caution our constituents not to jump to conclusions based on these posts. We have not had any official directives or guidelines given to us regarding re-entry in the fall. We will be sharing information as soon as we have been given directions so we can prepare for a successful 2020-21 school year. The only thing we are sure of at this point, is that we are committed to the safety of our students and to challenging them to become productive and caring citizens. #RAISETHEBAR

Our Commitment
At this time we are not collecting chrome books. Some of the online programs are available throughout the summer if you would like for your child to practice skills. Once we have better knowledge of what the fall will bring, we will make a decision about the collection of these devices. If you have any questions, please call your student’s principal. Have a great summer!

The school year at WCC has officially concluded after we have experienced the strangest ending to a year in my career. Thanks for the hard work done by students, parents, staff, faculty, and administration during this time, although "thanks" doesn't even seem adequate. A special thanks to our phenomenal food service crew, volunteers, and bus drivers that put in countless hours in feeding our children. Our school and community have definitely taken on the challenges that were put before them and fulfilled our theme of "Raising the Bar" for this school year. Please stay tuned as we make announcements regarding future events and plans for the 2020-21 school year. May God Bless you and keep you safe. Dean Stanley, Superintendent #RAISETHEBAR

Bear Nation - Our hotspots arrived this week (a couple weeks late), and we were assured by Verizon that they would have the capacity to filter content. However, after receiving them, they do not have that capability. We apologize for this setback, but feel that we need to return them. Due to this, there will be some of you that will not have internet in your household before the school year is over. We still encourage you to use our outside access point in our parking lot if at all possible. Our teachers will continue to attempt to meet the needs of all students regardless of internet access or not. We pray that the situation will improve and we can begin next year back on campus. Please don't stress over your child's education. Work with them to the best of your ability. Stay safe!
