WCC’s new attendance policy for all grades effective Jan. 7, 2020. This new policy was approved by the school board in November’s school board meeting. This letter has to be signed and brought back to your child’s school’s office by Dec. 16, 2019. Copies of this letter has been given to all students. If you have any questions or concerns please contact your child’s principal:

The 7/8th grade dance sponsored by Jr FBLA is in the auditorium tonight from 6:30-8:30 pm. Cost to enter is $3. There will be concession. All proceeds go to Make a Wish Foundation. Students must be signed in and out by parent/guardians. Hope you can make it!
For the White County Invitational @ Bradford, the Sr girls play at 6:30 Thursday and the Sr boys play at 7:45. Both teams will play the winner of Bradford and Riverview.

Happy December birthday to our WCC high school students!! Students that were here today that have December birthdays were celebrated!!
Today is the last day to buy a ‘Let’s Glow Bears’ t shirt for the home game on Dec. 13. Come by the high school to order yours for $7!
White County Tournament update: Senior basketball girls will play at 6:15pm at Bradford on Monday, Dec. 2. Senior basketball boys will not play in this tournament till Thursday, Dec. 5 at a Bradford. All other games this week are as scheduled.

Abigail Mullins did a wonderful job sharing her experience with the WCC School Board at the last school board meeting about her Girls State journey this past summer.
If anyone is needing help for Thanksgiving, Searcy First Assembly is having a food distribution on Monday, Nov. 25th. We hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving!
Reminder: K-1 Little Dribbles need to meet in the multi at 6:00 and will perform immediately after the Jr. High game! 2-4 Little Dribblers need to meet in our reserved section at 6:30 and will perform during half time of the Sr. Girls game!

High Five for Mrs. Raven Slane! Mrs. Slane was awarded the High Five Award by Mrs. Brandi Hardcastle. Here is what Mrs. Hardcastle has to say about Mrs. Slane: "I am passing the High Five award to Raven. Raven has such a positive attitude. She is always working so hard to make sure her students are all learning. She collaborates with other teachers to implement new ideas. Raven takes the time to build positive relationships with her students. She will step in and help others whenever there is a need. Although Raven has only been teaching two years, she demonstrates the knowledge of a seasoned teacher. She is kind, loving, and funny. You can't help but be happy when you are around her." The Arkansas Governor’s School is a four-week summer residential program for upcoming high school seniors who are residents of the state of Arkansas. The program is funded by the Arkansas State Legislature as a portion of the biennial appropriation for Gifted and Talented Programs through the State Department of Education. State funds provide tuition, room, board, and instructional materials for each student who attends the four-week program on the site of a residential college campus, sponsored by the State. The Arkansas Governor’s School is a non-credit program that seeks to create a unique experience for a select group of Arkansas’ best students—the potential leaders of the 21st century. Both inside and outside the classrooms, AGS provides highly motivated, creative students with an intellectual atmosphere impossible to sustain in ordinary academic settings. The excitement of intellectual and artistic pursuits and the expectation of significant conceptual gains permeate all aspects of the participants’ lives for the full four weeks.
